NORTH STREAM 1&2: MADE IN USA AND CIA BOMBING ?

At last the knots seem to have finally come to the boil despite firm denials by the U.S. and the CIA. The sabotage of Nord Stream 1 and 2 is back in the limelight thanks to Seymour Hersh, 85-year-old American journalist and Pulitzer Prize winner for his scoop on the 1969 massacre committed by U.S. troops in the Vietnamese village of My Lai, who, citing an anonymous source, pointed the finger at the U.S.: “In September 2022, divers from the U.S. Navy allegedly laid bombs to sabotage and destroy the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in the Baltic Sea. U.S. Navy forces allegedly conducted the clandestine operation under the cover of Baltops 22, a NATO naval exercise in the region.”(https://lnkd.in/ephyPTmE ; https://lnkd.in/efUmUfMk ; https://lnkd.in/e-KKTs6f )

To date almost no one has seriously given space to the fateful question “Cui prodest?”, least of all the Western main stream press, slavishly devoted for months to the usual ritual demonization of the West’s №1 enemy. Prudence was not even adopted in reporting what happened: for the, so to speak, homegrown information, it was the Russians who were responsible for the attack despite the fact that the whole thing took place in waters controlled by NATO forces, waters in which Atlantic Alliance ships routinely cross. It would also have sufficed to consider that beyond the long and well-documented series of real threats made by the United States against Germany, threats that even went so far as to hypothesize the introduction of sanctions against Berlin (https://lnkd.in/evYiQ6Bc ) precisely because of the gas pipeline in question, which the United States has always been hostile to, there have been similar episodes in the past whose protagonists have been the United States itself.

And would these be our ‘allies’ ? At this point it would be interesting to have a comment from President Ursula von der Leyen, a comment that I think we will wait for in vain.
