This is in perfect agreement with what McLuhan wrote some decades ago when he was trying to make us understand Media. What you call Media here are nothing but amplifying megaphones and loud speakers for what can make money and audience.

But then you should from the very start put the Internet on the side, not as an exception per se but as a medium that can be USED by the USER in a different way so that the USER builds a vast mosaic (a term from McLuhan) in which the USER can bring together contradictory elements and that’s the only way to come to a personal distanced and maybe unemotional vision with his own intellectual means and information, and that USER may get to some kind of true or slightly more valid vision.

You must know about it since you are writing an article against the standard tyranny of media on the audience. How COULD YOU come to such an idea if the media were all-powerful.

Please take off and fly up to the potential of our time: the old-fashioned and out-dated media tyranny is from the 20th century. We are not there ANY MORE.
