The attempt to criminalize such social network activities is a mistake not so much in intention as in mental orientation.
Social networks are here to stay and the manipulations they are the locale and the target of are here to stay. We have to learn how to live with that in order not to fall into the trap. Such an article then is interesting to demonstrate to people how this works and that it is not going to go away. Put one hundred of these manipulators in prison and one thousand more will appear.
The next problem is that they use a real discontentment and frustration to reach out to people. We should try to understand this discontentment and this frustration, not reject those who are using it to push their point.
