The American society is so much built on the heritage of slavery that it has to reinvent it every generation. For some time now they have reinvented it with prisons which is the systematic transformation of abusively imprisoned men into slaves. The prison system in the USA is a chain-gang for all, not to build railroads anymore but to compete with Chinese imports as for the price of labor, and to fatten the pocketbooks or Swiss bank accounts of some corporations.
