That’s the most important element. You can have a woman dominated cast and yet have a man dominated dialogue. That is so common. But what bothers me slightly more is that if we speak of sex I know what we are dealing with, male and female, no matter what the sexual history is behind or before the forefront. But gender for me encompasses a lot more than just female and male. Gender necessarily encompasses orientation and there the great victim of such “genderism” is ALL THOSE WHO ARE NOT MALE OR FEMALE HETEROSEXUALS.
