That’s pure western ideology. For Buddhism the heart and the mind are one. There is no soul and the mind is the sixth sense, hence a sensorial constructed apparatus that could not exist without the five other senses and language.
Jesus was a Jewish preacher first of all. Without language there is no Jesus. Language does not exist without the body, the senses, the throat, the tongue, the teeth. Language is a constructed human invention that is used to intervene between us and the world, to interfere with that relation too.
But as soon as you use language you use concepts because language is the result of man’s conceptualizing power. Words are not animal calls. Words are not pure sound with no meaning. Meaning is conceptualized sensorial experience.
