That should not but it is unluckily enough for many people to “assume” something and then to accuse that something to be a crime and the someone who is in the something is thus a criminal.
1- this something is a crime
2- the someone in the something is X
3- X is a criminal.
As simple and Aristotelian or Cartesian as that. But it is not only trolls who do that, against women or against Asians. Be sure many “public services” are full of such “assumers” and the damage they may cause is absolutely frightening. If you listen to some of them they have full drawers of pedophile files against myriads of people, for one and only one example, and in this case they target men first of all.
