Ray Kurzweil, Harari, and a few others are pretending such an extreme extrapolation that has no value whatsoever to be our future. You should read the article I have just published in Romania — in English — on Harari’s two books. If we reduce man, the inventor, and developer of AI, to nothing but a never-changing organism, first, Homo Sapiens would not be here to speak, we would not exist, and second, we would not have invented AI. Homo Sapiens is a changing species and mutations are still occurring and our eugenics are not even able to block these mutations like Asperger or autistic syndromes that are not diseases but mutations and we do not even try to understand what it is and what it is about, though we know that some of the most successful scientists and innovators are Asperger patients. The rate at which such syndromes are multiplying in our modern society is not only the result of better screening. It is also the result of a real material biological or genetic evolution and that makes us better adapted to the machines these Asperger geniuses are inventing.
