No it does not, at least me.

Millennials are a lot more responsible and committed than you may think, than people may think. They remind me a lot of my own generation (post WWII).

My assistant who had a full time job, well paid and all, decided to quit to run after his own dream. He left his job in such a way that he cannot apply for the “dole”, the social benefits for unemployed people he is entitled to get since he contributed into the system for one year: he does not want to owe “them” anything. He is living on his own savings and intends to move for a year with his life partner to New Caledonia just to go to the other side of the globe for some time. He is quite typical of these millennials, those I meet everyday.

Another has just stepped out of a well paid and highly responsible job in a successful startup to create his own: he is going to live for a while on the dole he actually applied for and for now two years he has paid for his own training in English to become more effective internationally. That’s the Millennials.

So? Surprised? Not one single iota.
