I totally disagree with this narrow vision of things. We have to invest in the education of children, but once again PUBLIC schools are one solution and in fact, it is not necessarily good for all children like the “over-talented” ones or the “under-talented” ones or the special cases because they are not necessarily adapted to these special cases. Advanced mathematics is too often one way to enable some talented students to excel at a higher level than the average but that is far from answering the problem — and challenge — of over-talented students. And what about the case of Asperger students or autistic students or whatever other cases of differently talented students?
