For sure obsession-compulsion is not a good thing, but we have reached a time in our human life, I mean as a species having to survive on this earth when we are not supposed to live beyond the means of humanity and the planet. In the West — as opposed to the Rest — we live beyond the means of humanity and the planet creating a situation that endangers the survival of this humanity and of life on this planet. Even when you think a cardigan or whatever other clothing is worn out for you, you should examine what recycling or reusing possibilities there are on this planet for this worn-out piece of clothing. And when we look at food, the West is living at least 40% beyond the means of the planet and humanity by throwing food away, not even to the compost pile, just to the local incinerator or dump. Obsessive-compulsive economical budgeting is excessive. But at the present moment, humanity, in general, and the West, in particular, should start entering a real economical budgeting phase to reduce — I say reduce — our over-consumption, our wasteful enjoyment of so much that we throw away 40% of it without even any recycling, even token recycling
