Don’t think you are alone on this planet and it is because you’re a woman. Men have the same problem. Empathy is seen as some kind of perversion and a man who shows, demonstrates empathy towards a woman or a man is seen as having to have some sexual desire for the woman or for the man. Imagine what it becomes when you are dealing with young people, teenagers for example. To show empathy is necessarily to have “perverse” intentions. He is too friendly to be honest.
