With the direction that the world is headed with A.I. today, is that a fair comparison? Should we be comparing the idealized versions of Chinese communism with Western democracy, or the worst versions of the two?
MIT Technology Review
Comparing is not a scientific method that is valid in many ways. It is best, and marginally, if we insist on differences because only differences provide meaning (de Saussure). If we consider AI, in China it is mostly controlled by the state, universities and other official labs. What about the West? It is controlled mostly by private firms and initiatives who are anyway controlled by the DEEP STATE, the level of government that no one controls, not even the President of the USA in the US, let alone the rest of the world. The deep state in the West is now international and we are manipulated by this global invisible organization that will make the sun shine every morning, till they decide it will be better for them to destroy humanity when they are settled on Mars or somewhere else.
