Sri Lanka is the hub of the restructuration of the Indian Ocean under the dynamism of the Belt and Road initiative. Seven years ago, the China-friendly Mahinda Rajapaksa was defeated by a coalition center-left-&-right. Since 2019 the Rajapaksas got back into power with China-friendly Gotabaya Rajapaksa as president.

The hub is more alive than ever and developing its spokes all around the Indian Ocean. Biden, the US, and US-friendly media would like to see China fall in the trap of Taiwan generously offered by Biden and his Secretary of State with the Ukrainian model. Either China falls into condemning Russia. Or China imitates the Ukrainian model and invades Taiwan knowing that the US would send no troops: a second war by proxy.

Unluckily for Biden China is not falling into the trap and is not bending over — and we all know what it meant in Ellis Island for the various immigrants in 19.., not so long ago — in front of the menace of stretching the US sanctions to include China in them.

I am afraid the foxy Biden will get his foxy tails caught up in the spokes of the Indian Ocean and he might lose a few hairs and some skin…
