BARBARIC APOCALYPSE

WARNER BROS — THE 100–2014–2020
ENGLISH FIRST — FRANÇAIS ENSUITE
A very long series with absolutely the same message from beginning to end. A nuclear holocaust destroys the earth, officially entirely and with no survivors, except a few hundred people who managed to find some refuge on an important space station, thus proving the nuclear holocaust had been planned. The action starts when the surviving time for this space station, due to oxygen and water shortages, is reduced to a few months. They started eliminating fair chunks of their population, of themselves, to guarantee a longer survival period for the happy few who were not eliminated. But quite a few years have gone by, and they want to test the surface of the earth, and they decide to send down there one hundred young members of the community in the space station that have been classified delinquents for various offenses they have committed, like stealing some resources for their own consumption despite the rationing that is imposed onto the community. Not only do these 100 people sent back to earth to what could be their death find out the surface is livable, but that survivors have managed to escape the holocaust, at least two or more groups absolutely hostile against one another.
The whole series is going to be the confrontation of these 100, and soon enough all those from the space station who will come down before dying due to the lack of oxygen, with these various groups. Then from one season to the next, another large group of people in another space station, the vast majority of them actually frozen in pods to be revived and brought back to life any time the few who are not frozen and thus are taking care of the space station deem it necessary. All these people are criminals from earth who have been expelled from the planet as some kind of imprisonment, exclusion from good society, and all that to escape the nuclear holocaust, by plotting or by pure accident. With the years the original people of the first space station, including the survivors of the 100 guineapigs sent to earth to verify if human life was still or already possible, will be the only survivors, but for what?
When the full series has been watched, the 25,050 minutes of it all, the systematic idea is that the human species, or at times on…
