Are you speaking of gender or are you speaking of sex? The two are NOT the same thing. Sex does not imply orientation apart from passive and active. Gender implies and requires orientation. But then it is a question of attraction and then we have to make the decision to follow this attraction or not, and then we have to clearly define attraction and romantic inclination. That leads to the clear difference between love and sex. Love can exist without sex just as much as sex can exist without love.
